Parental freedom of speech has never been under attack more than it is right now. During school board meetings, parents are finding themselves silenced. Hardworking and community loving parents take the time out of their busy schedules to have their names put down on the list to openly speak and voice their concerns about things occurring within the school district, and they are shut down before they can even truly begin speaking. School boards are hosting more and more closed-door sessions to keep parents comments out of district policies.

Formerly known as Alliance Defense Fund, Alliance Defending Freedom knows how important it is to have a say in what is going on in school districts. These school districts need to be held accountable for the curriculum they are teaching to community students as well as the books they are both allowing and banning from their libraries. The parents’ voices deserve to be heard.

Recently, in Virginia, Alliance Defending Freedom filed a law suit against a school board that was proven to be utilizing the critical race theory training as a way to racially discriminate and segregate students. This educational indoctrination cannot go on. It was found that CRT was in fact, violating the civil rights of the students and their parents. The school board that was trying to silence the parents were acting unlawfully.

These out-of-control school boards have been causing discourse and breaking civil rights all across the country.
