Gino Pozzo Continues To Make Strides With Watford

Watford Football Club owner Gino Pozzo was raised in a family that is crazy about football. Born and raised in Italy, Pozzo says his passion developed as a young boy. He was a fan of many football clubs when he was young and always yearned to have his own.

Luckily for him, his parents bought a football club in the 1980s. His family already owned a successful woodworking business, which helped finance the purchase. It was from there where he learned all of the finer points of how to manage clubs and monitor the day to day activities.

After graduating from Harvard Business School, Gino Pozzo he returned to Italy. However, he was not interested in running the family’s woodworking business, he was more eager to manage a professional football team and make it successful. Pozzo watched his father turn around two teams, and he was confident that he could do the same.

Gino Pozzo moved to France in search of a football team. He heard that the Watford team would soon be coming up for sale and he was eager to find out more. Pozzo found that the Watford Football Club was completely in a state of disfunction due to its prior ownership. In his mind, this was exactly the type of team he could turn around and make profitable.

Gino Pozzo decided to make the purchase and became the new owner of Watford FC of the English Premier League. Instead of being a passive CEO and owner, Gino Pozzo decided to use a more hands-on approach. His style became a success and Watford is now one of the most successful football teams in the league.

While Watford lacks the insane amount of money that some of the bigger clubs like Liverpool and Chelsea have, he is certain that he will eventually catch up. Refer to this article for additional information.
