Randy Douthit – A Life Full of Hopes and Dreams Because of The TV
At nine years of age, Randy Douthit was selling tickets for the variety show he had in his grandfather’s and grandmother’s barn. He was the producer and, years later at 23, he was the director at Portland’s KGW. Later, Randy was on Seattle Today, and he was on the daily show each morning drawing a widespread audience.
The thing for which he is so proud of is “Judge Judy”, but Randy Douthit had a lot to be proud of throughout his career. He was the executive producer and director of “Crossfire”, the top show on CNN at the time. Randy produced “Capital Gang” which, along with “Crossfire”, was the recipient of CableAce Awards. Randy joined “Larry King Live” as the executive producer and director and then became part of Quincy Jones Entertainment. Randy was in charge of the prime time show called, “Fresh Prince of Bel Air”. He knew that he would be involved in television when he watched for the first time. By way of preparation, Randy spent his youth preparing shows for his friends.
He lets ideas become reality by fulfilling a dream. He concentrates on what people want, and he then thinks about what programs will fill their needs. When thinking of what advice he would have followed as a young man, he would tell himself to concentrate more. For every one else, he recommends finding solace by meditating each day. There’s no need to start fast. Instead, try it for five, then ten, and then 15 minutes at a time. People will get good ideas by meditating, and perhaps they can make their dreams a reality, too.
