Andrea Riposati, CEO
Andrea Riposati is the co-founder and CEO of Dante Genomics previously known as Dante Labs, a worldwide genomics informatics company focused on developing and monetizing new class of revolutionary longevity and wellness applications are based on the whole genomic studies and artificial intelligence.
In 2010, he co-founded Dante Laboratories along with David Reed Hamermesh, a scientist from the Biodesign Institute at the University of California. The collaboration between these two scientists resulted in the creation of a full-scale DNA sequencing center based in Berkeley that would lead to a future whole genome sequencing platform for personalized medicine.
Dante Genomics is focused on developing and monetizing proprietary technologies that offer direct applications to consumers and life insurers. These are applications based on the whole genome studies and artificial intelligence provided by Dante Labs’ proprietary genomics informatics company. Andrea Riposati is also the author of a book on the future of longevity, which was published by Bios Laboratories, Inc. Dante Genomics is based in Berkeley, California.
Andrea Riposati’s achievements in technology, the longevity market and genetic sequencing were recognized by the National Institute for Aging and the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS). He is a participant in several scientific initiatives that explore new possible applications for DNA sequencing technology: He has received several awards from national organizations including: In 2009 he was receiving an award from The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) as an Individual Member.
Andrea Riposati is also interested in early childhood development. In his book he wrote that: “We need to develop a new approach, one that will enable the child to use the information presented by the environment and the genetic code, in order to make decisions about what is right and what is wrong, at an age when they are not yet able to understand these concepts.” The book explores issues related to play and emotions as well as family structure. The book has been compared with “The Myth of Sisyphus” by Albert Camus.
