Kelcy L. Warren, Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson of Energy Transfer

Coming into existence as the fourth youngest brother in 1955, Kelcy Warren was born in Gladewater, a minuscule settlement located in east Texas. His father was employed by Sun Oil, executing duties such as ditch-digger and gauger, eventually graduating to a field clerk rank. “My pop’s sole education ended at high school; nevertheless, I am proud of all he achieved throughout his lifespan,” Warren commented. “He attained great things but never felt compelled; rather, he found contentment with that occupation which granted him leisure to attend high school football tournaments or stop at the local cafe to socialize with peers. An exceptional individual: he never swore or condemned another human being, and yes, that is extraordinary.”

Kelcy Warren is the CEO of Energy Transfer Partners, one of the largest pipeline corporations in America. He is also a partner in the Dakota Access Pipeline and CEO of Sunoco Logistics Partners, which has recently merged with Energy Transfer Partners.

Mrs. Warren from Louisiana did not finalize her last year of schooling; however, she instilled within her sons the obligation of graduating from high school and proceeding to college. “Since the start, it was pounded into our heads,” claimed Kelcy Warren. This evidence revealed how his older sibling was the initial family member to pursue tertiary education.

The town is sufficiently small that everyone appears familiar with one another, enabling Warren to enjoy growing up. Additionally, Baptist church participation manifested considerably in his family life: “We were sheltering under its roof anytime even if its doors were open,” he stated, relating how masses were attended twice per Sunday, plus there was an influx of members joining Scouting in which their mother became den leader when young while upon entering secondary school Kelcy Warren succeeded as scoutmaster.’ Constant financial anxiety added much anxiety; hence both parents scoured methods to supplement income -an original proposal presented mobile park ownership, which generated some extra money often agonizingly earned when Mr. Warren took up a paper route; this included arising uncomfortably early at 2:30 am for packaging and rubber band construction in addition requiring assistance from son delivered when distribution began.
