Meet Damien Granderson – A Man on a Mission To Revolutionize the Music Industry

Damien Granderson and Guy Blake are the two masterminds behind the successful boutique law entertainment firm. It is the Granderson Des Rochers. The two met while they were working on a record distribution deal about 15 years ago. At that time, Granderson had a day job at Koch Entertainment, where he was an in-house counsel.

On the other hand, Blake was a partner at Davis Shapiro Lewit & Hayes. This was after he had left Warner Chappell. Damien Granderson would even go on to join Blake at Davis Shapiro Lewit & Hayes upon the closure of the deal.

The Idea Behind the Boutique Entertainment Firm

Speaking about their partnership, Damien Granderson said that the idea was to build an entertainment company that would give artists the best deals possible. This would, in turn, help them make money in a fair way. The entertainment lawyer added that they had a vision of bringing together a team of talented attorneys who would help develop a diverse entertainment law practice.

Damien Granderson says that his team would help clients with all their entertainment transactional needs, such as marketing and distribution, intellectual property management, film and television rights management, and branding (Instagram).

The firm celebrated three years of helping artists make the most of their opportunities this July. They are based in Beverly Hills and New York and have overseen dozens of deals while helping launch the careers of many upcoming artists. Damien Granderson finally adds that some artists the firm has worked with include J Balvin, A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, NE-YO, Nicki Minaj, and Young Thug.
