Ron Gutman, Founder and CEO of HealthApp
Ron Gutman has been featured on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Fox Business News and was a guest on Oprah Winfrey’s late night television show in 2008. He received the START-UP 100 Award from Forbes Magazine in July 2010 and was named a NEXT Innovator from the Silicon Valley Leadership Group that same year.
Ron Gutman has also been named to MetroWeekly’s Top 40 under 40 and their Top 50 Most impactful People of 2011. He has been an active member of the Techstars Startup Club, an entrepreneur in residence at Stanford’s Center for Innovation and he was a lecturer and panelist on “Health 2.0: Creating Meaningful Connections Between People, Science, and Technology” at SXSW 2012.
Business and healthcare expert Ron Gutman holds an outstanding career. The business and healthcare expert is serving on the board of advisors for the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), The Forum for Corporate Directors (FOCD) and The UBS Global Board Lecture Series at Stanford University. He has lectured at Stanford University and at the University of California, Berkeley.
In addition, he has been featured at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (The Wharton Digital Health Conference). He was named one of Metro Weekly’s Top 40 under 40 and their Top 50 most impactful people in 2011. Ron Gutman was also named as one of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group’s NEXT Innovators in 2010. Gutman is married to Brianna Bardach. He has two children from a previous marriage.
In May 2011, business and healthcare expert Ron Gutman successfully launched HealthApp Labs with Larry Sonsini, the former general counsel to the US Department of Health and Human Services. It changes the lives of patients (Greatoaksvc).
HealthApp Labs is tasked with providing open source health information technology to both the healthcare industry and consumers as well as products that provide personalized health recommendations. Ron Gutman received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in 1993 and his master’s degree from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995. He has taken this technology to market and is now getting it to the masses by bringing HIPAA compliant technology to healthcare providers.
