Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC) is the state authority responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of Roosevelt Island, a small island located in the East River of New York City. A team of professionals, including Aida Morales, the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance, heads the corporation.
Aida Morales has been with RIOC since 2016 and has over 25 years of experience in financial management. She is responsible for overseeing the corporation’s financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue management. Under her leadership, RIOC has implemented financial controls and streamlined its budgeting process, resulting in improved financial performance.
Morales graduated from Baruch College, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Before joining RIOC, she held several financial management positions at New York City Transit, including the Director of Accounting Operations.
Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation has a unique history and character. The island was once home to several hospitals, asylums, and correctional facilities.
